Happy Thanksgiving
I haven't posted in quite awhile because I have been having trouble with my computer at home. I just need to boot it to the curb and buy a new one, but lack the funds right now to do so. We had a nice thanksgiving this year. I made a big ham that frankly wasn't that good, but we were alone with the kids and had a great day! Mike said the first clue about the ham should've been it was wrapped in a burlap sack and paper and required no refrigeration. He is such a nut. It was very salty and we all had a hard time eating it and threw most of it away. A couple of days later, we made scallopped potatoes with the rest of it and they were very good so it wasn't a total loss. Here are a couple of pictures of Mike. He is helping Randy with the deck and learning how to use the big power tools. He loves the show Tim, the toolman Taylor and watches it every chance he gets. My hope is that he learns more from his dad than Tim Taylor, though because that man is forever messing things up. The other one is of him and his deer that he shot at our house a few weeks ago with his new rifle. He was very proud of himself. I helped him gut it because he was pretty grossed-out, but that's ok. He will have the opportunity to get a few more deer. He has a tag for 6 of them. I hope he gets some more because I like venison steak. Randy also has a tag for some so time will tell. The season lasts til January 6th, so there is time. Hope this finds you and yours well and having a happy Holiday Season!
I'll post again soon so watch for it.

So our little Blondie gutted a dear, your quite the woman, too funny about the burlap and no refrigeration needed, hams are always salty though and for some reason always dry too at least the ones I cook are. The hub says I cook them too long, they just need to be heated and I always say "then you cook the next one" course he never does..
