Life's little mishaps......
I just got off working a 12 hour shift on Wednesday night and my cell phone was ringing. I picked it up and it was my hub asking for the insurance cards for his truck. I said you must have it because I gave it to you to put in the glovebox. He said no, I have been looking all over for it, in the truck and the house and can't find it. I was thinking "how typical and how am I supposed to help you look for it when I am here and you are there." So, after telling him a couple of spots to look, it dawned on me, he must've had an accident or something because why else would he need the insurance card?!? I said, "what happened, did you get in an accident?" He said, "I hit a brand-new hummer3 that was parked at Vinnie's (the local pizza place)" I was like, "you know that's a pretty big vehicle to be randomly running into, how could you not see it?" He goes, well, I saw the side panel and forgot about the thing in front of it and thought I had enough room." He drives a Ford f-350 which is a humongous truck to maneuver in the first place. I just burst out laughing because for once, it was him that made a mistake and not me. After I stopped laughing, I asked him if he was okay and if the person he hit threatened to do him bodily harm or anything? He said, "no, I have to call him with our information, and he was okay with that." So, we will see how much this little fender-bender will cost us and our insurance company. Those things are made out of fiberglass and are no match for a big truck. He said he scraped it and made a small dent in the front fender. Hopefully not too much and I hope they don't raise our rates. This will be something to tease him about now, though. Maybe he will finally let me live down the time I put our neon in the ditch about 7 years ago and made a dent in the front of it. Its at least a nice thought........
