A brief pause for a B londe moment.
While at work yesterday I got a craving for some soup and a salad. I thought I would ask if anyone else wanted anything since I was going to the cafeteria on the 1st floor and we work on the 6th. Of course a friend of mine wanted a bowl of soup too. So I poured the soup (mmm cheese broccoli) and put the lids on, got my salad ready to go and proceeded to the checkout. OOps, had to tell the lady to add an iced tea as I needed one of those too. I was walking out with my hands full (to say the least) I had my wallet, two bowls of soup, a container of salad and a glass bottle of iced tea ( a recipe for disaster). All of a sudden the soup lid on the bottom broke through and hot soup started leaking all over my hand. OWWWW! I wanted to scream, but just kept walking. The whole time the soup was leaking on my hand and wrist scalding it! Heaven forbid if I were to drop it and make a mess in the lobby, no that would be too embarrassing. I asked some nice guy standing by the elevator to plz help me with my salad so I could set the soup down. He graciously helped me with the salad and I set the soup on the floor so I could get a tray to bring it all upstairs. He had to set the salad down because he had several stitches in his hand, oops didn't mean to pick an injured man to help me, my bad. He was nice and said to find somewhere to rinse my hand and he would stay with my food until I got back. They moved the Br because they are remodeling, so I just got a napkin and ran back to my food. He was still standing guard over my soup and salad. I grabbed it all and hurried for the elevator so I could get upstairs to ice and cold water and told him how much I appreciated it. I got a couple of 2nd degree burns on my wrist and hand and all because I was too stupid to grab a tray to begin with. DUH!!! Thank God for the angel standing by the elevator to help me.

Thought for the day:

"Normal" is just a setting on the dryer.
