This is a baby giraffe. There was a whole family at the safari park. I was amazed by their big brown, beautiful eyes and thick eyelashes. Their necks are very long and so are their tongues. They beg for giraffe crackers. It was neat to be so close to them. Posted by Picasa

A galapagos Turtle at the Safari Park. These turtles are the largest in the world and outlive their keepers because they live to be 200 yrs old. Posted by Picasa

Faeries bring out the child in all of us and I wanted to share a couple ofmy favorite artist's Amy Brown's fairy art. The one with the bubbles is titled "blowing bubbles". The other picture is titled "The doormouses house party." I love looking at her pictures online and have a tattoo on my back of one of her pictures. I'll post a picture of the one I have as a tattoo if I can find it on her website. If you love faeries and are interested in the pics, her website is: www.amybrownart.com.

VICTORY IS OURS!
Michael had his first football game tonight and they won 18-13. YAY! This is the first time in 10 years that the JV team has won their first game. It was an exciting game and we enjoyed watching the boys play. Michael is a right defensive tackle and he is a lot of fun to watch. He is enthusiastic and loves to play football. He has been playing football since he was little. He started off playing flag football in first or second grade and tackle after that with the pee wee league. He has played both offense and defense positions. We have surely been blessed with such an athletic fine young man!
After the game, we went home and celebrated with some pizza and then I had to leave to work the night shift. All good things must come to an end.
