Kids say the darndest things.....
On sunday Randy was working on our shed that we inherited with the house. He put a new roof on it and was at the stage of tar paper and new shingles. Deanna looks out the window and says, "Mom, you married a real man." I said "What do you mean by that?" She says "well, you know he isn't all wussy because he can build things and he knows how to do everything that we need to have done around here." I laughed so hard, I was crying. Leave it to Deanna to come up with that one. So true, though.

Random Shots of Mike, Meg and a Pheasant.
Took some pics on our way to town the other day. Mike was picking up Herc to put him in the kennel and Meg wanted to play with him. She was disappointed to say the least when she was put in her kennel too. The other pics of the pheasant were taken on our road. The male pheasant was walking along the side of the road with his female in hot pursuit. I know how she feels. I feel like that about my husband sometimes too. HA-HA.

The female following behind. You have to look close to see her. She is ducked down in the grass.  Posted by Picasa

Fun with a new toy!
We bought a used go-cart for the kids and they have been riding it for about two weeks now. Yesterday Deanna ran over a rock and Daddy has to fix it, so its out of commission for awhile. They are bummed-out to say the least. These pics were taken a couple of weeks ago when the weather was 84 and warm. We have had a few warm days since then, but not quite that warm. I spent the day today doing some yard work, raking up leaves, sticks and digging out some ugly shrubs beside the house. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks, I can plant some flowers. I'll keep you posted.

Meg decides she is too humiliated to lay with Mr. Kitty any longer and slunks away broken-hearted. Posted by Picasa

Meg is pleading with me to tell Mr. Kitty to plz let her sleep with him! She usually starts out trying to lick the cats face off and ends up getting clawed or smacked, so she is trying a new approach, (if I curl up here, maybe he won't notice me) Aren't they adorable? Posted by Picasa

This fence belongs to one of our neighbors. I love all the ivy growing on the fence and up the trees. It is even more gorgeous in person! Posted by Picasa
